Our Story

Name of Furbaby: Carly

Name of Furbaby’s Human: Lisa

Name of Furbaby’s Doctor: Dr Nellie Choi and Dr Hilary Chan

Diagnosis

Atopic dermatitis

Treatment

Allergen-specific immunotherapy injections, omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil), QV bath oil, wash and cream, cyclosporine for symptomatic relief (no longer required since 2016).

Resolution

We began management of Carly’s allergies in December 2013 when she was only 2 years old. She has been on immunotherapy injections for over 7 years now and her frequency of itch has drastically reduced from constant, year-round scratching to once a year at most.

Why we love ADC

Animal Dermatology Clinic assessed Carly’s condition, found out what she was allergic to and advised the appropriate immune therapy we needed to take.  I am pleased to say that Carly skin improved so much that all the hair grew back on her stomach (as she was no longer scratching) & only very occasionally does she have a small breakout on her skin.  Her life is so much more enjoyable now and we are so grateful to Animal Dermatology Clinic for all their help and support with Carly.
