Louisa is a registered Veterinary Nurse with over 30 years of experience working in the Veterinary Industry. Louisa has been privileged to work with many veterinary hospitals in Perth, mostly those offering specialised veterinary care. This includes seven years as Veterinary Nurse Co-Ordinator at Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital, overseeing all veterinary nursing operations in the Small Animal Hospital. She was heavily involved in the establishment of the 24-hour Emergency Centre at Murdoch University and saw the veterinary nursing team under her direct supervision, grow from a team of 8 to a team of 24 in a very short period! Louisa has also worked as a technical assistant at Bentley TAFE, supervising Veterinary Nursing students, as well as overseas – spending 4 years working at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada (and freezing in winter)!
Louisa has spent the last three years working in veterinary practice management with Vetcentric – spending time with several, local independent veterinary clinics, assisting them to grow their business and helping them to deliver premium veterinary care. Her responsibilities have been varied and include team management, financial management, customer service training, marketing, human resources and continuing education.
Fur babies:
Louisa shares her life with Martin, who is a Veterinary Equine Dentist and wannabe ultra-marathon runner. She has two gorgeous daughters, a lumpy, bumpy 14yo Labrador, spritely 10yo Italian Greyhound, slightly manic Kelpie puppy and a very tolerant cat named Slim (who isn’t). In her spare time Louisa enjoys hiking in the hills near her home, yoga and spending time with friends and family.
Louisa is passionate about delivering optimal patient care, and that’s why she is very excited to join the team at ADC.
