We came to see you after having no success with our local vet, and he admitted defeat, he recommended taking Monty to the specialist, you guys and we are so glad we did, under your care and what you did for him and us he is a changed dog, back to his happy, cheeky self, we can't thank you guys enough

Diagnosis

Chronic Pseudomonas Otitis Externa & Media (L ear)

Treatment

CT, Deep ear flush, culture and sensitivity testing, ear medication (Ciprofloxacin), systemic corticosteroids

Resolution

Monty required a deep ear flush to remove the infectious material in the ear canal. A sample was taken of the affected ear to determine the type of bacteria and the effective antibiotic to use. The lab grew pseudomonas aeruginosa which is sensitive to polmixin B. After treating the infection with ear medication and keeping the ear canal clean, Monty has made excellent progress and is the happiest he has been since the problem occurred.
